HOW TO SELECT A STOOL
BROUGHT TO YOU BY RESTAURANTFURNITUREPLUS.COM1.
Measure the Height of Your Counter or Table
Measure the distance from the floor to the top of the table.
You should have a 10-12 inch difference between your table top and seat (e.g., a 42” table top works best with a 30” stool).
2.
Choose the Right Stool Size
There are four main stool sizes:
- Dining Height 16” - 18”
- Counter Height 24” - 26”
- Bar Height28” - 30”
- Extra Tall Height 32” - 34”
Choose the size that works with the height of your counter or table.
3.
Count How Many Stools You Need
You want to make sure you have enough space between the bar stools. Here’s a good guide to go by:
- Stools 16”-18” wide: allow 21”-22” of space
- Stools 19”-22” wide: allow 24”-25” of space
- Swivel stools or stools with arms: allow for even more space
